Farm Early, Trade Later: MSCW Tips for U4N and Launch

The October launch of MapleStory Classic World gives players a chance to experience an economy from its earliest days. Founder Access begins October 6, 2026, and the Global Launch follows on October 21. That makes the weeks before launch a good time to think about how you want to approach MSCW Mesos once everyone starts from the beginning.
For me, the main lesson from a classic-style game is simple: do not judge an item only by its NPC value. MSCW Mesos will have greater meaning when players are competing for limited resources, completing the same quests, and searching for early upgrades. Materials that seem worthless on day one can become useful once demand catches up with supply.
Save Materials While You LevelThe easiest preparation strategy is also one of the least complicated. Keep useful drops while you are gaining experience.
Slimes are a good starting point because they are easy to farm around Henesys Hunting Ground I. Squishy Liquids can be used for early quests and crafting-related requirements, so there is little reason to sell every one immediately.
Octopus Legs are another material worth putting aside. A target of around 100 to 200 is reasonable for early preparation. If you eventually need them for quests, you will be glad you collected them while leveling instead of having to return to the same monsters later.
Watch Pig Beach CloselyPig Beach is another classic location worth visiting once your character reaches the appropriate level.
Pigs and Ribbon Pigs provide Pig Heads and Ribbon Pig Ribbons. These items can become useful when large numbers of players reach early quests simultaneously.
Pig Heads deserve particular attention because they are not simply a generic monster drop. If the supply is limited and many players need them, their trading value can rise quickly. That does not mean every Pig Head will become extremely expensive, but keeping them is a safer choice than automatically selling them.
Ores Have Long-Term ValueLow-level ores can be easy to overlook, especially when your character is focused on reaching the next level. Sapphire, Bronze, and Steel should be treated differently.
These materials can be used for forging and equipment-related progression around Levels 20 to 40. A player who saves ores from the beginning may have a useful crafting reserve by the time stronger gear becomes important.
There is also a practical economic reason to store them. Early economies are unpredictable. You may not know which material will become scarce until players start crafting in large numbers. Keeping a moderate amount gives you the opportunity to react to demand instead of trying to predict it perfectly.
Green Mushrooms Offer High-Risk RewardsGreen Mushrooms are especially attractive because they can drop items that are much more valuable than ordinary monster loot.
The Pan Lid is one of the standout possibilities. It is usable across classes and is particularly appealing to early Magicians. In a fresh economy, useful shields can be difficult to replace, which gives this drop strong potential trading value.
The 60% Claw Attack Scroll is another reason to spend some time in Green Mushroom areas. Thief players have an obvious reason to want it, and successful weapon upgrades can become a major priority during early progression.
Still, I would not recommend endlessly farming for either item. Treat them as bonuses from a location that already fits your level range.
Farm Bubblings With a PurposeBubblings in the Kerning City Subway become more useful once you move into the Level 20 range. Their biggest attraction for some players will be the Fish Spear.
The weapon can be valuable to early Warriors, especially when the server is still short on decent equipment. If you are already training in the Subway, continuing to farm there gives you a chance to earn the weapon without sacrificing your leveling progress.
Kerning Party Quest becomes available at Level 21 and can also help break up the routine. Party content provides another path for progression and rewards while giving you a reason to spend less time farming the same monsters continuously.
Keep Your First Few Hours EfficientA practical launch route starts with Maple Island from Levels 1 to 10. Complete the quests and take advantage of the free early resources.
From Levels 10 to 15, move through Henesys Hunting Ground I and East Rocky Mountain. Slimes and Stumps are suitable targets, with Squishy Liquids and ores being the main materials to save.
At Levels 15 to 20, move toward Pig Beach and Green Mushroom locations. Keep an eye out for Pig Heads, Ribbon Pig Ribbons, Pan Lids, and scrolls.
Once you reach Levels 20 to 30, Bubblings and Zombie Shrooms become reasonable targets. At Level 21, add Kerning Party Quest when you want a change of pace.
Build Value Before the Market SettlesThe first few days of a new economy are usually about discovering what players actually need. Instead of trying to guess every profitable item, focus on collecting materials with clear uses and keeping valuable drops when they appear.
That approach gives you a strong foundation whether you decide to craft, trade, or simply fund your own character progression. Players looking for a quicker route can also consider cheap MapleStory Classic World Mesos when they want to strengthen their starting economy without spending as much time on repetitive farming.
