Where Aion 2 U4N Players Can Prepare for the October Release

AION 2 is heading toward its global PC launch on October 5, 2026, bringing a greatly expanded world, aerial warfare, flexible combat, and a broad selection of multiplayer activities. Players preparing for the new adventure may also want to understand how Aion 2 Kinah could fit into their long-term resource plans once the full player economy becomes available. Before that happens, the Launch Scale Test offers a temporary opportunity to experience the game's major systems.
Take Advantage of the Launch Scale TestNCSoft's two-day Launch Scale Test runs from September 17 through September 18, 2026. The event is intended to test server infrastructure ahead of the global launch, and participation does not require an access key or separate registration. Players can download the client through Steam or the official PURPLE Launcher, with pre-loading available before the test begins.
Testing takes place during two scheduled periods. Thursday's session runs from 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM PT, followed by Friday's session from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM PT. Characters can reach level 37, and progress carries over between the two testing days.
However, the test is not designed to provide permanent progression. All characters and progress will be wiped before launch, while purchases and player-to-player trading remain disabled. Players can therefore focus on learning the game rather than worrying about establishing a lasting economy.
Explore a Vast New EnvironmentAION 2 uses Unreal Engine 5 and substantially expands the scale of the original game. The new world is described as 36 times larger, providing a much broader environment for exploration, combat, and faction activity.
A major part of this expanded design is three-dimensional movement. Flight remains an important gameplay feature and is closely connected to combat rather than being limited to travel. Players can use aerial movement to reposition themselves, approach encounters from different angles, and navigate environments that would be difficult to experience through conventional ground movement.
Spending time practicing movement during the test can be worthwhile. Becoming comfortable with flight controls early may make later battles feel more natural, particularly when fighting in open areas or participating in large-scale encounters.
Learn the Hybrid Battle SystemCombat in AION 2 combines action-oriented mechanics with traditional tab-targeting. Players can move between these approaches, creating a system that accommodates different preferences and encounter types.
Action combat emphasizes direct movement and responsiveness, while tab-targeting provides a more familiar MMORPG experience. Because flight is integrated into the broader combat design, positioning can also become an important consideration when dealing with opponents.
The testing period is a convenient time to experiment with these mechanics. Trying different controls, abilities, movement patterns, and targeting options can help players establish a comfortable approach before beginning permanent progression after launch.
Reach Endgame at a Faster PaceThe launch version is expected to provide relatively quick character progression. Reaching the maximum level of 45 should take approximately 10 to 15 hours for players progressing efficiently, allowing them to access endgame activities without an unusually long leveling process.
Once characters advance beyond the early stages, several PvE options become available. Six major Expedition dungeons are included in the launch build, while dynamic Transcendence dungeons offer additional challenges. Players who prefer coordinated group content can also participate in 10-player raids, including Abyssal Forge: Ludra.
Enter the Conflict Between FactionsFaction warfare continues through the Elyos and Asmodians, giving players opportunities to participate in large-scale PvP. Space-Time Rifts allow characters to enter opposing territory, potentially turning areas outside dedicated PvP zones into contested locations.
The Abyss provides an even broader PvPvE environment. It remains permanently active and includes Artifact Sieges focused on strategic nodes. Regional restrictions based on item levels can also influence where players participate, connecting equipment progression with access to certain competitive activities.
Organize Your Launch PreparationThe global PC edition follows a free-to-play model with an optional $15 monthly Elite Membership, a cosmetics-focused cash shop, and the Daeva Pass. The Western release is planned exclusively for PC, while mobile editions are available in selected Asian territories.
For now, the scale test is best treated as a hands-on introduction rather than a permanent progression opportunity. Players can use it to learn combat, flight, exploration, and group mechanics before the official launch resets everything. After release, the full economy and trading environment will become more relevant, giving players a clearer opportunity to manage resources and buy Aion 2 Items as part of their character development plans.
