The Endgame: Tower Siege Maps in Path of Exile 2
Once you’ve familiarized yourself with Towers and Path of Exile 2 Currency Tablets during the campaign and early endgame of Path of Exile 2, the real test begins with Tower Siege Maps. These maps are the pinnacle of the Towers and Tablets system — highly strategic encounters where your mastery of Tablet configuration, Tower placement, and combat synergy is pushed to the limit.
In this section of the guide, we’ll break down how Tower Siege Maps work, how to prepare for them, and what kind of loot you can expect from conquering them.
What Are Tower Siege Maps?
Tower Siege Maps are special, rare endgame maps introduced in PoE2 that task players with defending or capturing powerful Tower structures across a battlefield. Each Siege Map contains:
Multiple Tower nodes to activate or defend
Wave-based enemy assaults, often themed around a specific boss faction
Timed objectives, such as holding a Tower for a set number of minutes
Optional bonus rounds, which unlock special loot rooms or Tablet Fusion Altars
These maps are accessed through a new map device modifier, which can be obtained by progressing your Atlas or looting Tower Sigils from high-tier bosses and Tablet fusion events.
Structure of a Siege Map
Each Tower Siege Map has a three-phase layout:
Phase 1: Setup
You begin with a limited pool of Tablet energy.
You can pre-install Tablets into Towers using the Tower Archive.
You’ll scout the area for defensive bottlenecks and resources.
Phase 2: The Siege
Enemies begin assaulting in waves, targeting active Towers.
You must maintain Tower integrity, recharging or healing them with special pickups.
Tower effects (like Flame Bursts or cheap POE 2 Orbs Clone Fields) automatically activate on cooldowns or triggers.
You can also manually activate Tower Ultimates if you've unlocked Archive links.
